Pruett-LeDuc Low Qualifier At Rockabilly Rod Reunion After Final Round Of Qualifying
Leah Pruett-LeDuc in the "Plueger & Gyger" Mustang held on to her #1 qualifying position through three rounds of qualifying at the Rockabilly Rod Reunion at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday evening. Pruett-LeDuc bettered her first round et with a 5.810 @243.85.
Twenty five nitro funny cars battled through three rounds of qualifying with corrected altitude exceeding 5000 feet corrected and track temps were well into the 135 degree range.
Pruett-LeDuc's team mate Steve Rajcic in the "LA Hooker" Arrow nailed down the second qualifying spot with a 5.837 @ 238.93.
Canadian Tim Boychuk in the "Troy Lee Designs" Firebird is in the third qualifying position with a 5.884 @ 243.33.
Steve Macklyn in the "Nitro Thunder" Firebird is living the dream this weekend holding down the #4 qualifying position with a team and career best performance of 5.967 @ 244.16.
Roger Garten in the Tocco & Garten "War Horse" Mustang are also having the weekend of a lifetime qualifying in the #5 position with career best numbers of 5.971 @ 235.06.
Mark Sanders in the "Mr. Explosive" Nova is looking to make it three wins in a row this weekend and checks in at the #6 qualifying position with a 5.979 @ 231.24.
Dennis La Charite in the "Back In Black" GTO holds down the #7 qualifying position with a 6.015 @ 244.65 in his first race of the year.
And closing out this tight 8 car field is Todd Lesenko in the "Jolly Rogers" Camaro with a 6.015 @ 238.60, which are also career best numbers for Lesenko and the team.
