4TH ANNUAL MANUFACTURE’S CUP CHALLENGE

Nitro burning front engine dragsters will once again return to Barona Raceway this coming Jun 25, 2010 to launch the 4th Annual Manufacturer's Cup Challenge! This exciting two and a half day affair kicks off Friday night with a trackside Cacklefest and Bar-B-Q fund raising event for children living with Cystic Fibrosis. This year’s event is nothing short of the "biggest Sportsman racer happening" this summer!

In attendance thus far, Cacklefest veteran’s Bobby Hansen and his “Wynn’s Spoiler”, Jake & Marilyn McCloud and their “Goodyear Blue Streak Special”, along with Ron Johnson and his “Tommy Ivo – Barnstormer” and “Chris Karamesines - Chizzler” slingshots will be on hand to thrill the crowds beyond measure.

In addition to the Cackle cars the legendary “Winged Express” AA/FA will be on hand making passes throughout the weekend. Other planned exhibitions and activities will include two wheel standers, a jet car, NHRA celebrities, raffle contests, live music, plenty of barbequed food, drinks and goodies! Witnessing it all will be members of the San Diego Chapter for the Cystic Fibrosis and several of the very children afflicted with this disease.

This show is much more than just another Drag Race; it’s a gathering of countless individuals within the Drag Racing community to show their support to a very worthy cause.

We are also advised… In celebration of their main event and to validate their commitment to God and country; Pete and his dedicated sponsor support team have compiled a wonderful opening ceremony that you won’t want to miss.

As our nation’s colors fly high above the Barona Drag Strip, thousands of hand-over-heart patriotic spectators will join a saluting color guard comprised of VFW veterans as they proudly enjoy the singing of our national anthem.

Immediately thereafter a guardian prayer will be offered followed by one of the appointed “Great Strides” children giving the order to “Start Your Engines”…
