Bob Godfrey Heads Back To Salt Lake City For Funny Car Fever
Bob Godfrey Heads Back To Salt Lake City For Funny Car Fever
SALT LAKE CITY -- Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car owner/driver Bob Godfrey is heading back to Salt Lake City's Rocky Mountain Raceway for this Saturday night's Funny Car Fever.
Godfrey's "Burn-N-Money" 1969 Camaro won the "Nitro Nationals" at RMR in June and is really looking forward to returning to the site of his most recent victories.
"I just can't wait to get back to RMR," Godfrey said. "With everything we learned at the Nitro Nationals, we'll take that data, make some small tweaks to the tune-up to compensate for the higher altitude and hopefully keep our winning streak at RMR alive."
"I couldn't, and wouldn't be able to do this if it wasn't for my crew and sponsors," Godfrey continued. My crew are all volunteers who donate their time and services and thanks to Bob Bradley, Joe Turner, Steve Dickerman, Michelle "Clutch Girl" Read, Becky Hammel and Mikayla Peters for all their hard work and effort to make this happen."
"Everybody knows that these cars run on not only nitro but also money hence the name of the car," Godfrey added. "I'm fortunate to have great sponsors and marketing partners like K&N Filters, Lucas Oil, Turbo Hot Header Coatings, 10,000 RPM ReEnergized Coils & Clutch Floaters, GORR Fuel Systems, Control Cables, SPEEDLOX, The LemonLeaf.com, Smiley's Custom Headers, BAE and Clutch-Girl.com. Without their support I wouldn't be able to do this."
