Beckman Uninjured In Ugly Crash

"Fast" Jack Beckman walked away from an ugly crash that destroyed Lee Jennings "American Revolution" Chevy Camaro bodied nitro funny car today in the first round of qualifying at the 28th Annual Funny Car Fever at Sacramento Raceway Park.

Beckman lost control of the funny car at about 600 ft in the left lane and went into the left lane guard rail climbing the gaurd rail wall. In subsequent bouts with the wall the funny car became completely airborne before crossing the track and rolling over before coming to a halt.
